The New Benefits Compliance charter is to provide one-on-one guidance to NB clients regarding independent state registrations/licenses, mediation of state inquiries, and review and analysis of business models for applicability of state statutory provisions. Our Compliance Team:

• Constantly monitors regulatory developments in order to proactively ensure compliance
• Performs on going analysis on all compliance matters They collectively discuss and research certain client compliance issues to determine risk factor, resolution, and/or alternatives
• Initiates, mediates, and ultimately facilitates approval of NB client state filings, where applicable
• Actively engages and participates in one-on-one interactions (in person or via conference call)with clients to discuss regulatory situations or statutory requirements
• Reviews all marketing/advertising materials in order to ensure compliance with state/federal regulations. This is part of a multi-departmental Review and Verification process whereby client materials undergo extensive analysis. Upon completion, redlined edits are returned to the client for action
• Interfaces with state regulators in order to facilitate a favorable/reasonable outcome pertaining to certain compliance situations
• Analyzes proposed legislation and actively participate in the legislative process in order to facilitate enactment of reasonable regulations. This is done directly and/or in collaboration with lobbyists and attorneys
